Bob from Moline asks: “What percentage of my tax bill goes to operating the County government?”

On average in our District, 9.3¢ of every dollar of your property taxes pays for the operation of the County Government. The largest expenses on your tax bill are for the school districts and city government, which account for about 80% of the entire bill. (Source: County Treasurer's Office)
