Human Resources Committee Report for November 2015

posted Nov 17, 2015, 8:48 PM by Nick Camlin   [ updated Nov 17, 2015, 8:48 PM ]

The Human Resources Committee met on Tuesday morning, November 10, 2015.

We approved the minutes of the October meeting.

We authorized claims and treasurer’s disbursements.

We had discussion on County Board IMRF participation, and Mr Ross advised that the Governance Task Force is already looking at member pensions as one of a series of reforms that will be recommended this winter. There was consensus among the committee members to allow the Governance Task Force to continue its work on this issue.

A resolution setting non-union salaries for FY 2016 was not ready in time for last Tuesday’s meeting, therefore we held a special Human Resources Committee meeting this afternoon to consider the completed resolution. We have reviewed the audited figures, though it appears that some employees were inadvertently left off the list. We decided to authorize 2% raises for those employees included on the audited list. Next month we will consider the employees who were inadvertently left off the list. The raises do not include non-union employees of Hope Creek or the Health Department.

The Committee heard reports from the County Auditor, the Health Insurance Planning Committee, and the Negotiating Committee.
