As part of my goal to help citizens become more involved in their government, I am pleased to publish this information on the November 4, 2014 Election.
It is my hope that this information makes it easier for constituents to exercise their most sacred right-- voting in our democracy!
Karen Kinney, the Rock Island County Clerk, has worked very hard to ensure that voting is accessible and easy, and she has a track record of executing smooth elections. Below is information I have received from her office regarding the Election.

Election Day is November 4, 2014.

Early Voting at the County Clerk’s Office* is quick, easy and convenient. Vote early Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 7 PM, now until November 3. Also on Saturday, November 1, 8 AM to Noon and Sunday, November 2, 10 am to 4 pm.

Vote-By-Mail is a convenient, postage-prepaid option for out-of-town college students, those planning vacations, the disabled, or even those who just want to vote from the comfort of their home. For a Mail-In/Absentee Ballot Application, please call me at 738-3697, or call the Clerk’s Office*, or click here to download and print an application. The last day to request an Absentee Ballot is Thursday, October 30.

Grace Period voter registration is for citizens who have missed the regular registration deadline to register or re-register at their current address and vote at the same time for the Election. The grace period is from now until November 3, at the County Clerk’s Office*, following the Early Voting schedule.

*County Clerk’s Office: 1504 3rd Ave, Rock Island, 786-8683.
